We love our area of KCMO here at The Landing. The Briarcliff
and the whole Northland area is a great place to call home. No matter what the
season there are tons of activities and events to pick and choose from, but
summer especially is a wonderful time to experience Kansas City. Gather friends
and family and check out these local spots before the summer is over!

Beat the heat in style at Elms

standard-setting service to all its guests. Instead of sweating it out in the
head of the outdoors, pamper yourself with both modern and traditional services
like facials, massages, salon services such as manicures and pedicures, hydrotherapy,
and more. With over 25,000 square feet of relaxation, including a grotto and
European lap pool outdoor pool, and hot tubs, the Spa at the Elms is one of the
largest in the Midwest, let alone the Kansas City area. Go to their website for

Red Barn Farm
The Red Barn Farm, just northeast
of Kansas City in Weston, is the perfect spot for anyone who enjoys the simpler
times, history, and tradition. Open spring through fall, the Red Barn Farm
offers visitors the chance to visit a real working farmstead. The country store
features their fresh produce as well as antique and flea market finds, with
unique merchandise displays and furnishings. Enjoy old fashioned candies,
displayed just as they were at the turn of the 19th century. As
summer winds down you can look forward to the fall harvest, hayrides, and
apple picking. Their hours vary by season, so make sure to check their website
before heading there, and follow them on Facebook
to keep up with all the seasonal happenings.
